A good day for Miss Macie so far.  She had to get up twice in the night for a pee and to eat snow, but she came right back to the bedroom and demanded another bedtime treat for her efforts.

This morning, full breakfast and all her meds.  And she went up the back stairs to demand some time on the balcony.

What Macie wants, Macie gets.

She's burping and tooting a bit, so I'm hoping that gets rid of some of the pressure on her innards – she's 2cm larger than when the vet measured her yesterday (although she had gone down a couple of cm in the evening, so it seems to fluctuate).

It's quite nice out, so I'm going to try and take them for a quick walk – she'll get cold pretty quick, but hoping I can get her around the block, so she can sniff all the sniffs.

The biggest concern is that the Catpulets are no longer afraid to come into the kitchen when the dogs are there, so food prep is a challenge!  When I thought Thursday was her last day, I made the mistake of not taking the cats' bowls upstairs for them, because I needed to keep an eye on her – so now they think counter is fair game.  Currently looking and rearranging the kitchen so they eat down here now (which is easier for me), but NOT on the freaking counter.  Wish me luck!

Hope everyone has dug themselves out from snowmageddon (or are just enjoying life indoors and not worrying about it until it melts).

I'm gonna go try and give my girl an as-normal-as-possible Saturday. ❤️

We had a nice walk and got in a bunch of sniffs.  The sidewalks were still pretty packed with snow, so Macie tired quickly, but we still got about 45 minutes out there.  (Jasper was super-accommodating, bless him.)  Ran into some neighbourfriends on the way home, so got some extra lovin' as well.  Gonna snuggle by the fire while she warms up a bit.  Oh, and also, she was back down to 82cm before we left.
